  1. Dear Rabia and Sukeena

Salaam! I work for an international charity called Encompass Trust and we are hosting an interfaith panel in March; Aisha Khan, one of our steering group members thought you would be great to invite as one of the speakers. This event will form part of our 10 day long residential programme called “Journey of Understanding” which brings together 24 young leaders from Israel, Palestine, Indonesia, UK and US for team building and dialogue before they go back to their communities and make use of what they have learnt.

The topic for the interfaith panel is “can faith ever justify violence?” and each speaker would have 20 minutes on the topic (which can be approached from any angle – and one of the joys of the last interfaith panel was how the speakers all approached the topic in completely different ways!) and then we have time for questions and answers – and there will probably be a lot! The event is happening on Tuesday 3rd March at 10am-1pm followed by lunch, at Faraday House which is near Holborn, WC1N 3AE.

Please let me know if you’re free and interested, or if you’re free but need a bit more info before committing to it, or even if you’re not free but know someone else in the Muslim community who would be interested!

Hope to hear from you soon,

    Lucy

  2. Hi There Lucy, This sounds like something we would have loved to have been involved in. Please keep us up to date with any other similar projects

    Take care

  3. Assalamu alaykum
    Hope your well InShaAllah.

The girls event you are holding during the summer holidays is for girls aged 10 and over. My daughter is aged 8 and was wondering if she could maybe do the day trip?

  4. Walaykum mus Salaam Sadia,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately your daughter would be too young for the retreat.

  5. Salaam. I was informed about the girls retreat you are organising through a WhatsApp group. I want to enquire in regards to whether you need any volunteers to assist for it? I’m available for the majority of that time and would like to offer some assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Mrs Noor Ali

  6. Walaykum mus salaam Noor,

Thank you for your message and offering your time to volunteer. Alhamdulilah we have enough volunteers for this retreat but please do stay connected with us on our mailing list as we always looking for volunteers for future projects.
