A Green Deen Ethical Iftar

“The world is beautiful and verdant, and verily God, the exalted, has made you His stewards in it, and He sees how you acquit yourselves” (Saheeh Muslim).

Why is it that for many of us, the month of Ramadan often means an increase in disposable plastics, food wastage and a doubling of meat in our diet? These habits are not only contributing to thel environmental crisis and contradict our role as Khalifa to the Earth but equally have a detrimental impact on our spiritual experience of this blessed month.

Join us on Saturday 25th May at Rumi’s cave from 7pm for our annual Green Deen Iftar. A plastic free, delicious 3 course vegetarian meal and seasonal delicious herbal teas and drinks.

In keeping with our ‘Green” theme we encourage you to bring along your own Tupperware for your leftovers and to even bring along your own plate, spoon and cups 🙂

If you are interested in getting involved with the Green Deen tribe or would like more information

This is a free event but registration is essential and donations will be collected on the day to support the incredible work of Rumi’s Cave
